Introduction
Polysorbate 80, also known as Polyoxyethylene (20) Sorbitan Monooleate, it has emulsifying, wetting, and foaming properties, and is an oil-in-water (O/W) type emulsifier with a Hydrophilic-Lipophilic Balance (HLB) value of 15.0. It is used as an emulsifier in pesticides, pharmaceuticals, food, and cosmetics, and also as an emulsifier in various O/W emulsions. In the textile industry, it is used as an oil agent and lubricant. When used as an emulsifier, it is often combined with Span 80.
